DESCRIPTION

1st Sunday of Advent

The first candle in the advent wreath symbolizes “HOPE”.  We can have hope because God is faithful and will keep his promises to us.
In Mark’s Gospel the heavens have been torn open and God has come among all the world’s suffering. Christ is with us still. Forgiven and strengthened by that word, as Paul says, we may wait for his full revealing. We are called to be doorkeepers still watching on behalf of all the needy world and yet bearing witness to God’s present mercy.
We are now limited to how many we can have at worship so will not be having any additional people attend the taping through the end of the year.  We would  like to include any prayer requests you have, so please contact me via email, or leave a message at church.
Our Annual collection of  toys and gloves is suspended this year due to the new isolation protocols. We encourage everyone to contact your local organizations that are doing collections and donate generously as in previous years. This will go back to our normal when we are able to worship together again.
The altar flowers are donated by Steve and Deb Nowlan for blessings received.
